Following two life-changing summers, we'll be back with the DETAIL Miami Summer Academy in 2024!

In the past two years, we've had athletes travel in from 5 continents,  18 countries and 20 states to join our program, and the experience spoke for itself. Players were not only able to engage in an unmatched training experience and soak up a ton of basketball knowledge, but make friends with athletes from thousands of miles away and experience other cultures, all while experiencing Miami in the meantime.

Each year we're looking to make the experience even better for every athlete involved, and we're super excited to see how it continues to grow. Check out all the info below!

Whether you're looking for the full, all-included experience, or just the Local Summer Camp during the day, we have an option for you. The training will run from mid June to mid August, and can be joined weekly, monthly, or for the full four months! There is no age range and no required level of skill! Players will be grouped for training with athletes of similar skill levels, but will develop a family with athletes of all calibers.

how it looks:

offering The Full Experience, too:

We're also offering The Full Experience, where we'll take care of accommodations, food, and transit to the gym, as well as experiences like sightseeing, beach trips, yoga classes, and more!  Think of this as the ultimate training camp with a small group of no more than 12 other dedicated hoopers. You'll stay in our academy house with the other athletes, as well as two of our coaches who are on the clock 24/7 to ensure that everything is good to go.

The Details:

• Food: each day, we ensure that all players enjoy a light breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plus snacks to keep them fueled and ready to train and play.
• Transit: each morning, our coaches will drive athletes to the gym, as well to any experiences that athletes enjoy!
• Experiences: after between workouts and on weekends, athletes will partake in 1-2 outside experiences per week. Some weeks, they'll go sightseeing in Miami and relax on the beach, other weeks they'll head to different basketball courts, and more!​ These are optional for players who are tired from training and would rather relax at the academy house.
• Open runs and tournaments: the Academy hosts filmed open runs and/or tournaments at least twice per week with our local and international players so that all academy members can put their skills to the test!

Weekly price:

$1,400-1,800 for the full experience (depends on amount of weeks)

​Extra Features:

Merchandise: all hoopers will receive a merchandise care package with a Summer Academy t-shirt, wristbands, and more!

Media & Content: members will be featured in By Any Means Basketball Instagram/YouTube content, and recap video if they stay for 2+ weeks! Plus, they'll receive access to photos and videos from the camp for their personal use.

Events and Sightseeing: every day of the week, athletes will have the option to take part in an event during the day, whether that's a cookout, fun open run, beach trip, sightseeing, or a nice dinner.

Extra Workouts: in addition to the training in the gym, the Academy will include other workouts, such as beach workouts, pool workouts, yoga classes, and more throughout the week. This will usually be limited to just one per week, since the training regimen is already quite difficulty.

Free Virtual Academy Program: after a hard period of training, members will get full access to a training program of their choice in our Virtual Academy.

Recovery: the players will be going hard, so we will have our recovery specialist on spot, who will provide the athletes with everything they need to stay fresh throughout the week.

Recruitment: our coaches have connections to college coaches that can be reached out to in certain circumstances. This is not guaranteed, and is only provided when the athlete's ability, attitude, and performance warrants it.

Full Experience sample Training Schedule:

7:00am: wake up + breakfast provided. Drive to gym with a DETAIL Miami coach.
8:00am: performance training session.
9:00am: post-workout snack and recovery.
10:00am: 30-45 minute group or semi-private session with a DETAIL coach.
10:45am: relaxation and recovery time (hanging out with other athletes, watching film, watching other sessions, and more)
1:00pm: lunch provided at gym
2:00pm: competitive group workout or tournament-style open runs.
​4:00pm: return to house
5:00pm: experience 1-2 days per week, or relaxation at Academy house.
7:00pm: optional open runs 1-2 days/week.

You'll get all training features (9am to 4pm each day) but stay, transportation, food, out-of-gym experiences, and free programs are not included.

You won't get the full experience, but will still get an amazing week (or multiple) going hard in the gym and competing with others).

FAQ's

When is the best time to come in and leave Miami? Athletes are recommended to arrive in Miami on the Sunday before their week begins, and leave on a Saturday evening or Sunday morning for ease of stay and acclimation.

How do I get from the airport to the house or gym? One of our coaches will arrange to pick you up upon arrival.

What level of players attend Summer Academy? One of the beauties about our Summer Academy is how diverse it is, not only in terms of location and demographics, but skillset! In 2023, we had over ten current college players participate, but also had middle schoolers and everything in between! Plus, you'll be fully integrated with everyone as a part of the experience! So no matter the skill level, you're welcome. This isn't solely for elite athletes, although we certainly have them in the gym as a part of the experience.

Who are the coaches? Along with By Any Means Basketball founder and head trainer Coleman Ayers, we have a team of three full-time, experienced, coaches on board at DETAIL Miami, and ensure that we carefully select and screen our additional coaches with extensive interviews, background checks, and more. Our team has worked with thousands of players worldwide, from NBA players all the way down to beginners, so it's safe to say we are quite experienced with the entire spectrum. We truly take pride in maintaining a high level of organization, attention to detail, and precision not only on the court with training, but off the court as we take care of the athletes day-to-day.

What's the food situation? Each week, we grocery shop for athletes based on their requests to ensure they have breakfast and snack items available throughout the day. At lunch time, we have a set schedule of healthy offerings that we bring to the gym, and for dinners (where coaches will usually take athletes to a restaurant), we provide players with a pre-paid debit card for them to cover these meals. This is more than enough to cover the dinners, weekend lunches, and additional snacks, and makes it super easy for all of our athletes.
