Elite Athlete Foundations
We may see high-flying dunks, crazy dribble moves, unbelievable shot making, and the highlight plays, but under all of this for most elite athletes is an unbelievably solid foundation.
And developing this base is truly the first step on our journey to transforming into that elite athlete. Whether it's on the physical side or the skill side, this is like us setting solid ground for us to build an enormous building on. Without it, everything else we try to add on becomes weaker and much tougher to build!
So, in our Elite Athlete Foundations program, you'll get workouts to lay the foundation for each skill. From balance shooting to creativity ballhandling, you'll be on your way to becoming a more all-around hooper. Maybe not a specialist in every skill, but a player with no liabilities and an impressive foundation to elevate from. Plus, we'll begin to build the physical qualities that will allow you to expand: general strength, basic elasticity, quality movement patterns, and more.
Don't think that because these are the "foundations," they'll be basic and boring. No chance. These workouts are fun, difficult, and engaging. They give you a ton of freedom. This isn't making 40 straight right-hand layups. You'll fail, you'll get frustrated, and you'll enjoy every second of it.
So if you're ready for the most challenging, all-around two-week program ever, let's get to work!

What you get:
3 performance workouts: these three workouts are very similar to ones that Coleman uses with his athletes in the first phase of their training. By checking off the boxes included in these workouts, athletes will be setting themselves up for success in all of their training down the line. Each one is 45 minutes to one hour, and is all hoopers will need in terms of their weekly performance training. Plus, they can be done with or without gym equipment.
10 skill workouts: each day, we attack a different on-court skill. This may be ballhandling foundations, finishing athleticism, floater and runner control, and more! Each of these workouts dive fully into the skill, and can be modified based on resources (partner or no partner, space or no space). At the end of the week, we implement an all-around touch up program, which recaps each skill and has us heading into the weekend feeling great about our game.

Additional resources: on the Virtual Academy app, all members will have full access to exclusive resources including full nutritional modules, yoga classes, sports psychology information, additional workouts, and more. This is truly everything you'll need to train like a pro with just the click of an app, and will take your training from just training, to the most holistic player development regimen you'll find out there!
Recovery, mobility, and meditation day: it's more than just the training. At the end of each week of intense training, we ensure that you're able to recharge and maximize your hard-earned results. On Saturdays, we provide athletes with recovery advice, along with a mobility series that will help supplement their on-court work if the optimal mobility is a missing piece.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is the program organized? The program is 12 weeks, organized into daily workouts. Monday and Friday are roughly hour-long weight room days (which can be done without weight room equipment), Wednesday is our movement day, which includes hour-long defensive agility and performance training on a court, field or open space, and Tuesdays and Thursdays are our defensive skill days, which are 10-15 minute sessions, meant to efficiently attack the skill side of defense before our on-court workout.
What resources do I need? In an ideal world, a weight room setup, court, and partner. But, we know that the world is hardly ideal, so the program is designed for anyone to do, even if they have absolutely no resources!
What skill level is it designed for? Each drill can be adjusted based on skill level. Plus, the program was designed in a way that helps build an important athletic base first, which is needed for athletes of all levels, and then builds up from there. Beginners and professionals alike have tested the program and both have seen results!
Will this help other areas of my athleticism? Absolutely. While there is obviously a ton of defense-specific work, we begin by building a more general movement base, and as the program goes on, we include many exercises that build qualities that will apply to all basketball athleticism. I would not be surprised at all if your vertical jump goes up a bit, your sprint times drop noticeably, and you overall feel better moving on the court!
Can I combine the program with another? Yes, without a doubt. It's actually meant to be this way. This is considered one of our "performance" programs, which can be combined with any "skill" program, like the Ultimate Ballhandling Program.
Can I do the program during my season? It all depends on the athlete, but there is undoubtedly a way to do so as long as you listen to your body. Cut out some reps. Shorten some workouts. Athletes must continue lifting in-season to truly maintain and use that time to improve, so even if it's a watered-down version, you'll see results from the LDP in-season, too.
